Use Hearts and Feet to Fight Cancer
Pomona, Feburary,20th 2009 —In its first year, participants will walk for 24hrs to fight against cancer during the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Pomona. Residents of Pomona and the surrounding communities will gather at Pomona City Hall on April 18, 2009 to fight cancer. Relay For Life is a family friendly team event where participants walk relay-style around a quad while participating other in fun activities surrounding the quad. Teams include, but are not limited, to coworkers, club members, family and friends who gather donations prior to the event. “Relay For Life is a unique opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate those affected by cancer. As well as, those we’ve lost, and fight back against the disease,” said Ismael Arias . “This is our way of giving back to the cause of finding a cure for cancer as well as lends a show of support for our friends, families and neighbors that have been touched by this disease ,” Katherine Culliver added.
Funds raised at Relay For Life will enable the American Cancer Society to support local services and resources for cancer patients and their families. Funds also support critical cancer research and community education programs designed to teach
people how to reduce their risk of developing cancer.

Relay For Life events will be held in more than 300 communities throughout California, raising $36 million for the fight against cancer. A Message From Ink'd Chronicles

We would like to invite you to join us for the first anniversary of Ink'd Chronicles on Saturday, November 8th from noon until midnight. We have organized Tattoos for the Cure – a day (and night) of music, art and charity.
There is no charge to attend however donations will gladly be accepted.

Our artists will be tattooing pink breast cancer awareness ribbons and other designs as requested. There is an $80 minimum and all of the proceeds going to the Breast Health Program at the Robert and Beverly Lewis Family Cancer Care Center . There will also be a tattoo-inspired art show with proceeds going to the cancer center.

In addition, there will be live musical performances beginning at 7:00 PM on the street stage in front of Ink'd Chronicles.
