In tribute to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s bibliophile book Through the Magic Door, this fourth reincarnation features over 12,000 quality paperbacks and hard covers. Topics include Quality Fiction, Science Fiction, Mystery, Children & Young Adult, Women’s Focus, Art, Poetry and scores of other appealing subjects.

Paperbacks are generally half of cover price with hardbacks priced to find a new home.  Also offered are a number of uncommon and collectable books, limited, autographed, scarce 1st editions and other unusual volumes. Prices can range here from a few dollars to a few thousand. A selection of audiobooks, both CD & tape, are one-third of the original price.

In the spirit of the Art Colony the Magic Door highlights artwork by local artists. Currently featured for sale are works by Thomas Stubbs, Juan Thorpe and Jaqueline Kyoda. During the 2nd Saturday Artwalk the store often stays open until Midnight or later.

Another facet of this customer friendly shop is the availbilty of free maps and guides to local shopping plus flyers and information for neighborhood businesses and upcoming events and art shows.

As was true with Conan Doyle Dwain and JoAnn love discussing their favorite authors and helping customers discover reading treasures for themselves, families and friends.
