I think that art should not just exist within a narrow framework of nebulous avant-garde excuses or ideals (idols)! 

Subject matter innovation and technical innovation in of itself without concern for trends or fashion at the whim of a machine that perpetuates
these trends and fashions do concern me however.

I would never want someone to view my work and say “It’s better than it looks” or “I feel comfortable with its familiarity.”  

I think that revealing truths in all of its shades and colors effectively with technical and expressive facility is more important than being in the service of an ideology or performing visual cosmetic surgery to promote lies!

Radical creative change and diversity is better than becoming a cookie cutter artist in my opinion so my exploration and research of materials and ideas are on-going and without fetters.
